Green Storage Container DIY

A place for everything and everything in its place. I'm a big fan of all sizes of storage containers but we don't always have to run out and buy them.

If you've just finished your can of coffee or tub of protein powder you can reuse these for storage. However, if you're hanging onto these with a plan to "someday" use them don't let that pile get too big or you're just adding to the clutter. There will always be more containers coming into your home with each new grocery shopping trip.

Here are a few of my favourite examples. I removed the original label from these protein powder containers and reused them to contain supplies on my kitchen counter.

Also, in my kitchen and other places in the home, I like these frozen food trays for containing smaller items that fly all over the drawer if they're not contained.

In my office, I have reused coffee cans and given them a new look with some decorative duct tape to contain unsightly electronic wires and chargers.

And, again in the office, I used some decorative duct tape to refresh some old shoe boxes for storage of extra supplies like push pins, pens, pencils, etc.

And, finally, what to do with all those little scraps of paper. This one is a taco kit box cut in half and covered with duct tape.

I usually get my duct tape from Dollarama or Dollar Tree. A small roll is about $1.25 each.
